COVID-19

Here in our practice your health and the health of our entire dental community are of the utmost importance.  Dr. Calender and our entire team are current on our CDC-mandated safety training, including OSHA physical safety practices and especially best infection control practices.   We are also training frequently on updated transmission-based infection control protocols during this unprecedented time to keep our valued patients, team members, families and friends safe.

To protect your health, we follow standard universal precautions as always, using personal protective equipment and clinical disinfectants in both operatories and common areas.

Also during this coronavirus outbreak, we have implemented transmission-based infection control protocols, including commercial-grade air purifiers that exchange the air every 12 minutes.  We use two high-velocity evacuation (HVE) systems at the source to greatly minimize aerosols produced during treatment and reduce your risk of getting or transmitting any airborne illness.  All patients rinse their mouths with an antimicrobial mouthwash prior to treatment, and we are minimizing the number of patients in the reception area.

We also request the following of every person in our community, including team members, patients, and accompanying caregivers:

If you have an illness or are exhibiting any of the following symptoms, please let us know so that we may reschedule your appointment for a later date when you are recovered.  Some illnesses and symptoms include:

-      A cold or the flu
