COVID-19

Here in our practice your health and the health of our entire dental community are of the utmost importance.  Dr. Calender and our entire team are current on our CDC-mandated safety training, including OSHA physical safety practices and especially best infection control practices.   We are also training frequently on updated transmission-based infection control protocols to keep our valued patients, team members, families and friends safe.

To protect your health, we follow standard universal precautions as always, using personal protective equipment and clinical disinfectants in both operatories and common areas. 

We have also implemented transmission-based infection control protocols, including commercial-grade air purifiers that exchange the air every 12 minutes.  We also use two high-velocity evacuation (HVE) systems at the source to greatly minimize aerosols produced during treatment and reduce your risk of getting or transmitting any airborne illness.  All patients rinse their mouths with an antimicrobial mouthwash prior to treatment, and we are minimizing the number of patients in the reception area.

We also request the following of every person in our community, including team members, patients, and accompanying caregivers:

If you have an illness or are exhibiting any of the following symptoms, please let us know so that we may reschedule your appointment for a later date when you are recovered.  Some illnesses and symptoms include:

-      A cold or the flu

-      Fever or nausea

-      Severe headaches or body aches

-      Coughing or sneezing

-      Shortness of breath, chest pain or difficulty breathing

-      Runny or stuffy nose

-      Sore throat

-      Muscle or stomach pain

-      Vomiting or diarrhea

-      Active tuberculosis (TB)

-      Measles, mumps or chickenpox

-      Other contagious diseases
